Constitution and ByLaws

The Association has operated on the 1986 edition of the constitution and bylaws until earlier this year. Many things have changed over the years concerning the operation of the International Association of Arson Investigators, the Alabama Association of Arson Investigators and technology. A revision of the document was necessary and the A.A.A.I. board of directors updated the 1986 edition earlier this year, March 2021. Some necessary and important sections needed a little more attention, which has now been completed.

This is your Association's governing document, I strongly encourage all members to download the revised draft, and review it. You will have from November 1, 2021 till December 1, 2021 (30 days) to review it and submit comments to the board of directors. Your input / comments are very important and welcome. The Association Board will carefully consider each person's input and comments in preparation for the final document that will be voted on by the membership in January 2022.

The vote will be by electronic means through constant contacts via email. The ballot will be a survey type email and should be received January 2, 2022, at the email address provided on your membership application. Note: A test / check of the email addresses on file will be sent out via constant contacts on Nov. 1 and a repeat on Nov. 6, 2021. If you do not receive an email from the A.A.A.I. on either of those dates, please get in touch with any board member.
